Students urge Salinas to repair damaged sidewalks to keep pedestrians off roadways

Carissa (District 5) added observations of lifting concrete near Osage Drive and said these hazards are especially dangerous for children and older residents, and she asked whether the city can help residents upkeep their homes and sidewalks. The youth presenters and council members acknowledged the safety concerns; council members thanked participants and said they would try to address the concerns moving forward, noting the mock meeting required no formal action.
