Special education leadership reported on mental health considerations, extended school year plans (ESY) for eligible students in July and new hires: an in‑person occupational therapist, a full‑time speech‑language pathologist and a part‑time school psychologist. The district will resume Medicaid billing for eligible services next year to recapture allowable reimbursements.
Board members pressed for clarity on how interventions will affect schedules and graduation pathways; staff said more detailed implementation plans and growth spreadsheets will be presented at the June meeting.
