Booster/Foundation asks board for blessing on window wraps, cites fundraising and safety benefits

The presenter said the group had raised money through membership and activity ticket programs and described direct reimbursements to the school: “We paid $33,500 back to the school through activity tickets,” the presenter said. They also said, ``we've raised $30.30 some thousand,'' language used in the meeting to describe the fundraising total. Board members asked practical questions about the wraps’ longevity and how they affect interior light. One member noted the wraps would help reduce glare for evening games and improve curb appeal facing the highway; another asked whether the panels are removable for repainting and how visible the school interior would be from outside at night. The presenter said window wraps allow viewing out but limit seeing inside during the day and that the group was obtaining multiple quotes with a goal of completing work before the sports season begins.
Board members generally indicated support for trying the wraps on a pilot basis on one building to assess interior light changes and durability before committing to all buildings. No formal appropriation was requested at the meeting; the booster indicated much of the cost would come from separately raised funds.
