Superintendent Bruce Todd summarized a series of facility improvements and grant updates at the Sept. 23 meeting. The written report notes: "Irrigation for the FB field and NE corner of school grounds is complete." It also records that the gym floor was repaired and refinished at minimal cost to the district because the contractor covered most refinish costs, and that the final punch-list for several repairs is scheduled for Oct. 15.
Todd's written summary also notes an initial notification for a 2026 Douglas County PUD grant of $100,000 intended to replace windows and doors. "Initial notification for the 2026 PUD grant for $100,000.00 to replace windows and doors (hopefully)," the report states. HVAC start-up is scheduled for Oct. 10 and entrance doors were expected to be installed mid-October.
Board discussion did not produce a formal vote on these items; the minutes record these items as part of the superintendent’s report and the contractors’ work and grant applications as in-progress.
