Greensboro City will close parts of Elm Street in downtown Greensboro for a three-month pilot beginning Aug. 7, a Greensboro City staff member said. The pilot will close sections of Elm Street to traffic; the city held a drop-in information session last week for business owners and neighbors to explain the plans and gather concerns.
The city directed residents and business owners to its website under the initiative title "Meet Me on Elm" for maps, timelines and materials. The staff member said the online page contains the full project information and encouraged anyone with questions or feedback to consult that page as the pilot begins on Aug. 7.
