A board member moved that each consent item be voted on separately; that motion failed when the noes carried, so the board proceeded to approve the items together. The clerk took a formal roll-call vote: Vice President Jefferson, Secretary Pearson, President Milton Roberts and Director Edwards voted yes; Director Taylor and Director Davis Day voted no. The consent agenda motion passed.
The superintendent and staff will proceed to implement the approved contracts and curriculum work as recorded in the personnel and contract documents. Board members asked that communications to the community note the curriculum adoption and how the Synergy proposal will support classroom resources.
