The presentation included an AED inventory: several donated units are present but some pads have expired and need replacement.
Staff recommended purchasing hallway cabinets sized to hold AEDs, stop‑the‑bleed kits and emergency medications; the previously selected cabinets were discontinued and staff are sourcing alternatives. Trustees and staff discussed distributing functioning AEDs across buildings (targeting coverage of gym, shop and other high‑use areas) and using CTE welding students to fabricate cabinets if suitable.
The board directed staff to continue the training, source compliant cabinets, replace expired pads, and prepare an updated safety plan for board review by the end of summer.
