The Mansfield School Board approved declaring three lower-field parcels surplus Nov. 19 and set a public property-sale hearing for Dec. 16, 2025 at 6:00 PM. Superintendent Bruce Todd introduced the item and noted that an appraisal of the property is in the board packet for review; the appraisal figure is $338,000. Cassidy Tupling moved to approve declaring the parcels surplus and to set the hearing; Tara Tupling seconded and both motions carried.
Todd told the board there has been "no new information from the City planning committee" regarding rezoning of the lower field from its current classification. The board directed staff to advertise the surplus notice for a minimum of two weeks prior to the scheduled hearing.
