The Mansfield School Board approved Resolution 2025‑08‑01 on Aug. 26 to correct the TVF (Transportation Vehicle Fund) appropriation for 2024–25. Business Manager Kim Pease explained that the North Central Educational Service District (NCESD) advised that budget extension requests submitted after an overspend must be for double the requested amount because the Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction (OSPI) will reduce approved extensions. The board approved an increase in appropriation of $39,078.20, bringing the TVF total to $179,078.20.
Cassidy Tupling moved to adopt the resolution and Tara Tupling seconded; minutes note the motion carried. Pease delivered the explanation to trustees in public session; no roll‑call tally was recorded in the minutes.
The board packet included July financials showing the TVF balance prior to the correction as $205,856.51; district staff characterized the item as an administrative correction to align appropriation with NCESD/OSPI procedures.
