The council reviewed Terry’s list of proposed community service projects for the park by the fire station and agreed on several tasks volunteers could take on: painting the pavilion, routine garbage pickup, weed and branch cleanup, edging and parking area cleanup. S2 explained that youth groups and homeschool volunteers frequently support the town’s work days and that the town usually provides gloves and tools.
S1 noted a gravel donation from a local resident, "Blake Allen, and he's donating all the gravel that we put in right here," which council members said would reduce material costs for ground and trail work. The council set tentative cleanup dates (cemetery cleanup on April 6 and other spring projects in May and June), discussed supplies and potential dumpster use, and directed staff to publicize volunteer days via Facebook and the post office posting.
