Westford names Essex Reporter official paper and adds SevenDays for municipal notices

The Selectboard designated the Essex Reporter as Westford’s official newspaper of record and approved SevenDays as an additional official outlet for municipal business such as requests for proposals, hiring notices and legal notices. The board also reaffirmed three public posting locations: the town office, the library and the post office. Motions passed unanimously.
Board members asked staff to work with local outlets and Westford Provisions about distribution and noted that the library also carries both publications for public access.
