The Shelby County Board of Supervisors voted to update the agreement between Shelby County and Shelby County Golf, Inc. so that the County will take over insurance for the buildings located at the Shelby County Golf Course effective July 1. Supervisor Bryce Schaben moved the change and Supervisor Mike Kolbe seconded; the motion carried unanimously.
During the discussion, Ken Leinen provided a history of the golf course and Brent Scheve presented proposed changes to how costs would appear on the County insurance policy. The meeting record does not expand the ICAP acronym used when referring to the insurance policy; the transcript records the discussion and the Board’s motion to add the buildings to the County insurance coverage effective July 1.
The Board’s action updates the contractual relationship as it pertains to insurance for the golf course buildings; any further changes to the agreement or associated funding would require subsequent board approval.
