At their June 1, 2026 meeting, the Meagher County Board of Commissioners took several routine and operational actions. The board approved Resolution FY 25.26 #88 to close part of Jackson Road and set a 25‑mph limit for the Red Ants Pants Music Festival (July 22–26); approved posting a custodian position via Resolution FY 25.26 #89; approved claims Checks #63634 through #63668 totaling $69,748.29; and received briefings on insurance renewals, county road operations and bridge prioritization, and cemetery maintenance.
Present were Chairman Ben Hurwitz, Vice‑Chairman Errol Galt, and Commissioner Brewer. Materials and presentations were provided by Hope Barker and Jodi Tierney (MACo PCT / Mid‑Montana Insurance), Cory Claussen (DCI Engineers), Jake Kusek (Road Department), Sarah Calhoun (Red Ants Pants Music Festival), and Kathy Palmer (cemetery). The meeting was adjourned at 11:45 p.m.; the next meeting was scheduled for Monday, June 8, 2026.
