During the Feb. 24 meeting Road & Bridge Superintendent Jim Meier opened two sealed bids for replacement of the shop fuel system. Hoidale submitted a bid of $64,891.78 and Double Check submitted $68,140.00; Double Check noted its bid does not include an annual software fee of about $2,000. The scope of work described in the request included new dispensers, key-code pedestal, tank monitoring and software.
Commissioner Don Schroeder moved to accept the bids and direct staff to evaluate and present an award recommendation at a future meeting; Commissioner Becky Reimer seconded and the motion passed unanimously. Staff will compare total lifecycle costs, software/service fees, warranty provisions and make a recommendation to the commission.
