Harvey County adopts $10 service fee for driver’s license transactions, effective March 1

Harvey County commissioners voted Feb. 10 to adopt an amended resolution setting a $10 county service fee for driver’s license transactions, effective March 1, 2026. Treasurer Amy Perkins said the prior language was too narrow and the amendment clarifies the fee applies to all transactions conducted by the Driver’s License Office.
Resolution 2026-7 states that “the Harvey County service fee for driver’s license transactions for in county or out of county residents, is set at $10.00 per application,” and that the fee takes effect March 1, 2026. The board voted to adopt the resolution on a unanimous vote. The resolution repeals any prior inconsistent county resolution.
Perkins presented the item as an amendment to a resolution the board had approved previously and recommended formal approval to ensure the county recovers a portion of the Driver’s License Office costs. Commissioners did not record any opposition during the meeting. The resolution text and signature lines were included in the agenda packet.
