Weybridge highway crew reports grading, roadside mowing and turbine removal; turbine expected back this fall

Matt Brogden, the town's road foreman, told the Select Board that crews had used a new roller for grader work and completed tree cutting on Snake Mountain Road, Drake Road, Sheep Farm Road and other local segments. The highway crew has started mowing and is hauling winter sand and preparing plow frames for storage.
Broader infrastructure news: a turbine at the local power station was pulled and is being shipped to Canada for refurbishment; the turbine will be reconfigured from four fins to five and is expected to return around November, a timeline board members noted will affect local generation capacity over summer months. The crane work required heavy equipment staged near town and crews will perform additional work in coming days.
Board members also discussed the cracked pavement in some recently repaved sections and said they expect crack-sealing and paving work to be scheduled before July; road priorities will be coordinated with neighboring towns and the road-formation committee.
