Selectboard members agreed to accept assistance from University of Vermont students enrolled in an environmental consulting capstone course to develop conceptual visuals, maps of existing conditions, and outreach materials for the 1705 site. Pat Haller, Tommy O'Connor, Harmony Cim, and conservation commissioner Kirsten (K.) Tyler walked the property with students; the class can also help identify grant opportunities and run public outreach events.
K. Tyler said the professor leading the course had experience at the Environmental Protection Agency and that the students' work would focus on outreach and flood‑risk mapping rather than licensed engineering. The board assigned Pat Haller to serve as the town's point person for the project and flagged that directing the students will require some town staff time.
