Commission to reissue mowing contract and respond to family headstone request

Brad Lackey reported that Deerfield Valley Maintenance will not continue mowing town cemeteries and that the commission will need to itemize and post a new mowing contract this fall to secure services.
Katherine MacLean relayed a request from the LaRochelle family, via the Town Clerk, about placing a headstone in their family plot in Green Cemetery. Brad stated that grave marking costs $30 and a cremation burial costs $50, and that the town does not organize full burials or the placing of headstones; families should hire a funeral director or other professional. Brad will check with Joe Saladino about the family gravesite and Katherine will respond to the family with next steps.
