Brad Lackey told the commission that seven gravestones in Sadawga Cemetery were repaired in 2025 at a cost of $2,440. He said planned work for 2026 includes six gravestones to be repaired by Mark Spiller and three by Doug Dix of Deerfield Valley Maintenance; an individual has offered to pay for repairs to his family headstones in Cutting Cemetery and Brad will follow up with that person.
Commissioners also reviewed cemetery cleanup spending: spring cleanup cost $2,268.75, leaving roughly $3,000 available for fall cleanup and further repairs. The commission discussed contracting options and follow-up steps to arrange the 2026 repair work.
