Shelby County EMS: FY26 recap, bylaws approved, $55,074 opioid funding rolled to FY2027

Kenny Hansen, Shelby County EMS Director, provided a recap of calls and transfers completed in fiscal year 2026 during the June 16 meeting. The board received the update and moved forward with several EMS-related administrative actions.
Supervisor Bryce Schaben moved to approve the bylaws of the Shelby County EMS Advisory Council, and Supervisor Kolbe seconded; the motion carried unanimously. The board also approved rolling over the remainder of EMS opioid funding in the amount of $55,074.05 from FY2026 to FY2027, approved a 28E Agreement between Shelby County EMS and the City of Harlan, and approved an Audubon Transport Agreement with Shelby County EMS. All EMS-related motions passed unanimously.
The bylaws and agreements provide governance and interlocal arrangements intended to support EMS operations; the opioid-fund rollover preserves federal/state-designated funds for use in the next fiscal year.
