Shelby County board authorizes $3.78 million in interfund transfers for FY2027

The resolution, moved by Supervisor Mike Kolbe and seconded by Supervisor Bryce Schaben, specifies transfers including $354,500 from the General Basic Fund to the Capital Fund; $20,000 from the Rural Basic Fund to the Capital Fund; $400,000 from the General Basic Fund to the General Supplemental Fund; $195,915 from General Basic to Secondary Roads; $2,528,752 from Rural Basic to Secondary Roads; $16,000 from Rural Basic to Flood & Erosion Control; and $267,909 from General Basic to the Conservation Fund. The motion carried with ayes from Chairman Charles Parkhurst, Kolbe and Schaben and no recorded nays.
Board members did not request amendment to the amounts when the resolution was read into the record; the transfer authority will allow the auditor to reallocate monies among the named funds to match the FY2027 budgeted expenditures. The action was procedural and carried unanimously.
