At the April 15 meeting, resident Aaron Perras said one property owner should not dictate whether ATVs may use Lone Pine Road and said most neighbors support reopening vehicle access. Road Commissioner Stanley Janovsky proposed reopening the road and asking residents to join the local Jack Pines Pirates group, which Janovsky said could require members to register ATVs and carry insurance; residents present said they will petition the Selectboard to reopen the road.
Selectboard Administrator Gig Zboray said she would review the town ordinance and follow up with the petitioning residents. No formal board action was recorded at the meeting; the board expects a resident petition and ordinance review before any change in the road’s status.
