Selectboard approves corrected Green Mountain Power road contract, gravel depth increased

The Whitingham Selectboard voted April 15 to approve and sign an updated contract with Green Mountain Power for a road rebuild, after Road Commissioner Stanley Janovsky requested a correction to the specified depth of gravel. Janovsky told the board that the depth needed to be changed from 3" to 6"; Tim Jones of Green Mountain Power handwrote the change on the contract before the board voted to approve it.
The contract update also notes that the town specified corrugated metal pipe (CMP) for culverts and that Green Mountain Power will construct headers and footers if the town requests them. Scott M. Reed moved to approve and sign the corrected contract; Craig Hammer seconded and the motion passed with the board voting "all in favor."
