The reader told trustees the writer had sat with two students on the flight and reported, “They were very well behaved and very friendly to other people.”
The board member who read the letter said they had written back to the letter-writer and invited the students and their families to the meeting. Trustees discussed creating a student recognition program to acknowledge the positive behavior and indicated details for any recognition would be determined later.
No formal action was taken beyond reading the correspondence and thanking the students; the board noted the item as a community recognition and moved on to the regular agenda.
