The Jackson County Board of Supervisors voted Feb. 17 to approve Option A from First MainStreet Insurance for the county’s upcoming insurance renewal at a cost of $484,478.00, effective March 1, 2026. The motion was made by Supervisor Nin Flagel and seconded by Supervisor Mike Steines; Chair Don Schwenker and both supervisors voted aye.
Jennifer Machande of First MainStreet Insurance presented the two options to the Board prior to the vote. The minutes record the selection of Option A but do not specify which coverages differ between options. The Auditor’s office holds the resolutions and related documents and the county webpage lists availability Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
No further action was recorded at the meeting; routine publication and filing procedures were handled by the Auditor. The Board will proceed with the renewal effective March 1, 2026.
