Staff will collect clearer line-item histories and vendor estimates and circulate them to the board ahead of the next meeting so the Selectboard can finalize the warning and the budget book.
Board members repeatedly emphasized the need to present clear, plain-language explanations in the budget book so voters understand whether an item is a separate article or a line item. The board did not finalize the warning language at the Jan. 6 meeting and asked staff to return more precise figures for discussion next week.
