Administrator Bromeland said quotes were obtained for tree removal needed ahead of the Pedestrian Connectivity Improvements project and Bolton & Menk recommended Construction and Tree Service LLC of LeSueur as the lowest responsive bidder at $11,484.
The city will pay the contract from the Pedestrian Connectivity Project budget. Bolton & Menk identified the low bid as approximately 8% below the next lowest. The anticipated completion date for tree removal is August 15, 2026. Council accepted the recommendation and authorized the contract award.
Staff will coordinate with the contractor and Bolton & Menk on scheduling and site preparation ahead of construction.
