Event center readies RV pads, reports strong rental activity; Daniel Foundation funds to close out work
Summary
Asset manager Ashley Hay reported pad work for RV parking is complete and the arena/event center has seen a run of successful events (movie night ~80 kids, truck show, graduations). Staff will identify remaining Daniel Foundation funds to finish power pedestals for RV hookups.

Ashley Hay, asset manager, told commissioners the arena and event center have seen a run of bookings and that pad work to add RV parking is complete. “We did our 1st summer movie night with the sheriff's office. It went really well. Had about 80 kids there,” Hay said, summarizing recent activity and lessons learned about age limits and staging for events.
Hay said staff has begun trenching plans for water and power to support RV pedestals and that she has been working with the Daniel Foundation on the remaining grant balance; when staff determines how much is left, they will bring a cost estimate for pedestals, power pedestals and installation. The commission encouraged affordable rental rates (Hay noted $10 an hour for the boat launch pavilion) and said staff should return with a breakdown of project costs and grant balances before final decisions.
Why it matters: The event center is generating revenue and community engagement; completing RV infrastructure will expand event capabilities and requires careful use of remaining grant funds and coordination with road department trenching resources.
