Council OKs $9,299 swing purchase, directs color match at Fraze Park

The estimated cost is $9,299 and will be paid from Park Board funds. Council Member Garrett Steinberg moved to authorize the purchase; he later amended the motion to require the swing color match the new equipment’s blue. The amended motion carried with all members present voting in favor.
The swings will be procured as part of the larger playground replacement project previously approved by the council; no additional city-wide funding source was required because Park Board funds will cover the purchase.
