The Shelby County Board of Supervisors met in a special session on June 9, 2026, and, sitting as the County Board of Canvassers, certified the abstracts of votes from the June 2 primary election and accepted the county canvass. Chair Charles Parkhurst and Supervisors Mike Kolbe and Bryce Schaben were present; Taryn Knapp served as clerk. The meeting opened at 12:00 P.M. in the Supervisors Chamber at the courthouse and adjourned at 12:18 P.M.
"The members of the County Board of Canvassers hereby certify the following to be a true and correct abstract of the votes cast in this county, at the Primary Election held on Tuesday, June 2, 2026," the board record states. The board approved the agenda and the minutes for June 2, 2026, before proceeding to read and certify the returned precinct tally lists.
County-level results certified included Democratic County Attorney Marcus Gross Jr. with 317 votes (total 321 including scattering) and, on the Republican side, County Supervisor Bryce Schaben with 857 votes (total 865 with scattering), County Treasurer Carolyn Blum with 871 votes (total 877), and County Recorder Geralyn S. Greer with 873 votes (total 877). The record lists turnout for the Primary Election at 19.69% across the county.
Supervisor Bryce Schaben moved to accept the canvass and Supervisor Mike Kolbe seconded; the motion passed with ayes from Parkhurst, Kolbe and Schaben and no recorded nays. The certification was attested by Chair Charles Parkhurst and Clerk Taryn Knapp.
