ARCH outlines 2026 work program to Beaux Arts Village Council; proposes elected-officials board

Mayor Aletha Howes introduced Sophie Glass, Government Affairs, Policy and Communications Manager for A Regional Coalition for Housing (ARCH). Ms. Glass gave a brief slide presentation describing ARCH’s founding (1992), its fifteen member cities, and its focus on five principal areas: Affordable Housing Investment; Housing Policy and Planning; Housing Program Implementation; Member Education/Engagement/Outreach; and Administration.
Ms. Glass said ARCH is considering adding an Elected Officials Board to increase community involvement and noted that ARCH participation complements local land-use tools such as accessory dwelling units, lot splits, and developer set-asides (some member cities require up to 10% affordable set-asides). The Council received the presentation; no formal action was taken.
