Council authorizes water-services contract with Good Boy Excavating; backup pump purchased

Clerk/Treasurer Sue Ann Spens reported that Water Supervisors Bob Durr and Eric Antonelli obtained a signed Professional Services Agreement for Water Utility Services with Good Boy Excavating and Plumbing, replacing the former agreement with Roger Lillejord, and asked the Council to authorize the mayor to execute it. "The contract sets forth work parameters just as the contract with Roger Lillejord did but with updated pricing," the minutes state. Councilmember Stacy Saal moved to authorize the Mayor to execute the Professional Services Agreement; the motion was seconded and carried 5-0.
Separately, Water Supervisor Bob Durr reported the pump has been purchased from PumpTech and will be stored as a backup in the town's maintenance shed. The council also discussed whether a detached accessory dwelling unit may have a separate water connection and noted that BAVMC 13.05.050(1) appears to allow the installation; the council advised the resident to establish a separate address and to expect separate meter billing for each connection.
The authorization allows the mayor to sign the contract with Good Boy Excavating and Plumbing; the water supervisors will manage implementation under the new agreement.
