Ambulance authority board resignation accepted as county reports reduced fleet readiness

The Barbour County Commission accepted the resignation of Lesa Corley from the Barbour County Ambulance Authority Board and thanked her for her service. "Her participation on the board was valuable and her willingness to serve was appreciated," Commission President David Strait said as he moved to accept the resignation; the motion passed 3–0.
Aaron Bostel of the Barbour County Ambulance Authority told commissioners that three of the authority’s five ambulances are operational and only one 4WD is currently in service. He said the other 4WD vehicles have significant mechanical issues and efforts to rent a temporary 4WD were unsuccessful. Commissioners said they will seek a replacement for the board vacancy and monitor fleet readiness.
