At its Oct. 16 meeting, the Jones County Board of Health approved several administrative items proposed by Brad Knudson of Jones County Public Health. The board voted to extend the county's billboard contract on a motion by Denny Coon, seconded by Connie Goldsmith; the motion passed unanimously.
The board also authorized Knudson to attend the National Association of County and City Health Officials (NACCHO) conference in April; that approval was moved by Connie Goldsmith and seconded by Denny Coon and carried with all aye votes. Separately, the board voted to update signatory authority for Brad Knudson, again by unanimous vote on a motion by Coon and second by Goldsmith. These actions were recorded as routine administrative approvals; no cost figures or contract terms were specified in the meeting record.
