Fairfield Borough Council voted to recommend adopting proposed amendments to the Borough’s Zoning Ordinance at its June 23, 2026 meeting. The motion, made by Councilor Phyllis Gilbert and seconded by Councilor Pat Pileggi, carried by unanimous acclamation.
Planning Commission member Dennis Bucher told council members they should review the proposed amendments and said that most changes were renumbering. Secretary Dianna Zimmerman was directed to contact Mr. Thaeler to begin the advertising process required for public notice and any subsequent hearings. The council’s action moves the amendments toward formal consideration but does not itself adopt the ordinance.
