The Williamstown Cemetery Commission approved the July 25, 2024 minutes and reviewed a Budget Status Report dated Aug. 19, 2024 at its meeting on Aug. 22. Orvil Lasell moved to accept the minutes and Susan Lyons seconded; the commission voted unanimously to approve the motion.
The report recorded warrants to Kirkyard Services LLC for an August mowing contract of $5,125.00 and invoice #2038 for $350.00 (one burial/Pecor), for a total paid-out amount of $5,475.00; income for the period was listed as none. Chair Matt Couillard noted the commission has three remaining payments this year on the caretaker contract and three months next year through the end of June, and that the group needs to prepare a proposed budget (typically due in October). The commission set follow-up work on next year’s proposed budget and recorded the financial figures in the minutes.
The commission adjourned at 7:37 P.M. and scheduled its next meeting for Sept. 26, 2024.
