City staff outline ADA crosswalks, Spencer Park camera plan and SDC study award

"The SDC study... we had a notice of intent to award out, 7 days passed for contesting, there were no comments, so FCS did get the notice of award... Their bid came in at $29,083.50, so they're within budget and they were the qualified bidder," City staff (speaker 1) reported. Staff also said the city received an executed contract for a Sustainable Infrastructure Planning (SIP) feasibility study and that federal funding requests were submitted to congressional offices to increase the chance of award.
Why it matters: The SDC study will help the city set fees to pay for infrastructure expansion over the next 20 years; camera and ADA improvements affect public safety and accessibility. Awarding the study within budget and moving forward with camera and crosswalk work positions the city to meet regulatory requirements and infrastructure needs.
