Hector Castanedo of Adura told the court the county received three bids for the Brooks County CTIF Road Improvements Project and recommended CK Newberry LLC with a bid of $251,840. Commissioner Eduardo "Eddie" Garza moved to award the contract to CK Newberry; Commissioner Rolando Gutierrez seconded. The court approved the award unanimously.
The award was recorded in open court and the motion and vote were entered into the minutes; contract documents and the winning bid amount were placed on file with county procurement records for next steps such as contractor notice to proceed and final contract execution.
