Greyhawk board warns deck could block inlet to retention pond and risk neighborhood flooding

Carnes said the neighborhood had experienced higher-than-normal rainfall recently and expressed concern the deck could worsen standing-water or flooding risks if it obstructed the inlet. He offered to show the board photographs and asked the commission to consider potential stormwater impacts as part of its deliberation. Board members asked follow-up questions about exact placement and noted that staff had not previously issued variances in the subdivision for decks that violated setback rules.
