Chief Sheffer told council an injured officer is on light duty through at least April 10 as the officer undergoes physical therapy. "Injured officer is on light duty through at least April 10th," Sheffer said, and he described ongoing expectations for officers while the injured officer remains restricted.
Sheffer also said the department is monitoring long-term issues of junk vehicles on S. Main Street and a motorcycle parked on E. College Street and is working with officers on enforcement. No staffing actions or policy changes were voted on at the Feb. 16 meeting.
