City approves change order adding pickleball courts and acrylic surfacing at Quincy Robinson Park

Commissioners asked practical questions about tripping hazards at an entrance, lighting and whether vehicles should be allowed on the new surface; staff said the contractor will smooth entrances where possible and that staff will likely restrict vehicle access during early years to preserve the new surfacing. The change order motion carried by voice vote. Contract paperwork lists a substantial completion date of Sept. 4, but staff said they expect to be "well ahead of that," possibly finishing by July.
