Lisa Bogran, Jones County BOH Administrator and Environmental Health Coordinator, told the board that the Private Well Grant (PWG) second‑quarter claims, progress report and proof of liability have been submitted and that SAFHER requested updated letterhead for future submissions. She also provided third‑quarter PWG updates and listed upcoming required trainings, including a DNR Field Office meeting on March 25 and the ISU Private Well Stewardship Program in Monticello on April 1.
Lisa said the county's lab provider, ChemRight Labs, increased the price of water sample bottles from $20 to $25 per bottle. She recommended re‑evaluating department fees to account for the higher laboratory cost and noted staff will discuss fee changes at a future meeting.
