Superintendent Dr. Wildes recommended that the board approve a contract with Sandy Skora to serve as interim principal at Hermosa View beginning Jan. 21, 2025 through the end of the school year. "Miss Skora brings over 35 years of experience and, in particular, 14 years as an elementary school principal," Dr. Wildes said when presenting the item.
The board discussed staffing needs and the request from staff for additional administrative support; members noted the interim appointment responds to repeated requests from staff and will allow the district time to conduct a rigorous permanent hire process. The board approved the contract by motion and voice vote.
