Property owners told to complete requested work at 8478 Slide Rock Road by June 1

Matt Dobler of Linn County Public Health briefed the board on a letter sent to the owners of 8478 Slide Rock Road in Anamosa and said a deputy delivered the letter on Feb. 3, 2026. An email reply from the owners on Feb. 6 stated they expect to be able to complete the requested work by June 1, 2026. Steve and Linda Hamilton, the property owners, were present and spoke briefly during the meeting.
Dobler described what a Time of Transfer inspection involves and noted that the minimum maintenance code could become relevant if enforcement advances; staff said the process could be lengthy. Lisa Bogran advised staff not to disclose who initially brought the matter to the department’s attention.
