The Jones County Board of Health voted Feb. 16 to update its environmental services contract with Linn County to amend the Linn County contract to include Food and Hotel Licenses. The motion, made by Board member Denny Coon and seconded by Dr. Kirk Kilburg, passed unanimously with all members voting yes.
Dustin Hinrichs of Linn County Public Health told the board that "currently DIAL is requesting retail contract standards for Jones County," a requirement Linn County already meets. Board members discussed that the request is new to Jones County and agreed staff should update the intergovernmental service contract accordingly; more information was promised at the next meeting. The item was recorded as a formal motion to amend the service contract and approved during the meeting.
