Emery Chen, director of youth services for the Beach Cities Health District, updated the board on collaborative health programs and offered a grant check to the district. Chen said the district received a Healthy Schools grant check for $94,091 and highlighted partnerships that supported back-to-school events and staff development. Board members thanked the health district for longstanding collaboration and asked staff to coordinate publicity and a board-photo opportunity to acknowledge the grant.
