Marshall County Veterans Affairs director outlines Memorial Day, RAGBRAI outreach and bench projects

Huseboe also reported coordination with Brian Brooks, a VA contact who assists incarcerated individuals, to build two benches in Fort Dodge honoring SSGT Tovar and SSGT Howard with families helping to determine placement; a Gold Star bench in honor of SSGT Howard will be at the American Legion. He noted that Senator Joni Ernst's staff announced a name change for the local clinic to honor SSGT Howard and a VA clinic on Army Post Road to honor SSGT Tovar, and that recruitment advertisements for van drivers are ongoing.
