Healdsburg trustees proclaim March 29 as Marcy Becerra Day

The resolution text described Becerra’s work “to ensure students had access to indigenous education, indigenous ways of living” and said the board “hereby recognize and wish to honor the contribution of Marcelino [sic] Louise Becerra to quality education.” The motion to adopt the resolution was moved and seconded and approved by roll call; the clerk recorded the board’s Aye votes. The board noted the event logistics and encouraged staff to notify families and the community about the noon celebration and mural unveiling.
