Butler County approves $175,000 supplemental agreement with JEO to finish Haverhill Road plans

Curtis Mader told the Board that the S.W. The original JEO contract (approved April 12, 2022) was for $449,260 and KDOT had awarded $2,000,000 in cost share funds for the project.
Mader said JEO acknowledged the plans were sub‑par and agreed to substantially redesign the project. Staff negotiated a supplemental agreement for $175,000 to finish the project and deliver a quality set of plans; Holly Sinclair Refinery agreed to participate in the cost share. Commissioners approved the amended contract 5-0. Mader emphasized the supplemental payment was intended to ensure a complete, constructible set of plans rather than accept the substandard packet previously delivered.
