Lincoln County approved Resolution 39‑2025 to submit the Redwood River Comprehensive Watershed Management Plan to the Board of Water and Soil Resources (BWSR) for review. The resolution states that, contingent on BWSR approval under Minnesota Statutes §103B.801 and related provisions, the county will adopt and implement the plan for the geographic area covered by the plan and will amend local water and land‑resource plans and controls to conform.
The resolution recites that the plan underwent a 60‑day formal review, a public hearing on Nov. 10, 2025, and that the Committee addressed all public comments. The resolution includes procedural timelines for local units of government to submit and revise existing plans and gives appeal rights to BWSR as provided under Minnesota statutes. The motion to approve submission was moved by Joe Drietz, seconded by Corey Sik, and passed unanimously.
